چکیده

Layered elastic theory (LET) was performed by Burmister. It helped to build mechanistic – empirical (M-E) pavement design. In this study, three different approaches were used predict Cumulative Equivalent single axle load (C-ESAL) over the design period. Two based on M-E and one empirical. each of these cases, standard loads as well weight limits vehicle classification, according their configurations (single, tandem, tridem). Traffic data came from annual traffic census campaigns past ten years. Gross (GVW) (AW) a fixed weighing station during 31 days in 2020. road axis considered: One having (reference road) under technical studies (specific road). perform regression analyses predictions. AW GVW calculate Axle equivalency factors (ALEF) Truck (TEF) reference road. These values projected specific Frequency distribution, gross distribution heavy vehicles are applied We overload analyses. Comparisons done for an evaluation proposed, including monitoring management systems. This work basis transposition calculation inputs, more accurate passed fifty years, Higher Income countries, called AASHTO method USA, LCPC-SETRA France, Cameroon Sub-sahara African that have been using generation inputs same period, CEBTP method.

Flexible Pavement Test Sections for Studying Pavement Design

It is a well-recognized fact that our pavement design procedures are inadequate in general and seriously lacking in many particulars. The fact that this statement can be applied on a county, state or national basis is little consolation to those in Indiana who must design and build pavements, for ever-changing traffic conditions, in such mileage and at such unit costs compared to the funds avai...

Input Shaping Design for Flexible Systems Withmultiple

This paper presents an approach for designing multi-input shapers using an s-plane pole placement technique. Slightly more information about the system model is taken into account than has been traditionally done with input shaping designs. The input shaping sequences for all system inputs are solved for simultaneously , and the resulting designs lead to shorter impulse sequences than solving f...

Sensitivity Study of Design Input Parameters for Two Flexible Pavement Systems in Iowa Using the Mechanistic-Empirical Pavemen

Many agencies use the AASHTO Guide for Design of Pavement Structures to design their pavement systems. The limitation inherent in this method is the empirical nature of the decision process, which was derived from a road test conducted almost 45 years ago in Ottawa, Illinois. The newly released Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG), based on NCHRP Study 1-37A, has adopted a mechan...

Sensitivity Analysis of Various Cost Elements in Flexible Pavement Design

This paper presents a method for predicting the optimum initial service life and optimum periods of resurfacing for flexible pavements. The method is based on consideration of total pavement costs including the cost of initial construction, routine maintenance and major maintenance and increased road user costs resulting from the maintenance operations. Standard economic analyses techniques wer...
